Frequently Asked Questions

Booking?

To enquire about hire, please email us at Maitaidesignz@hotmail.com with your selection of products, as well as the date of your event. If you require delivery / delivery & placement, please also ensure to include your event time, venue and location and detailed information about the services you require. We will reply with confirmation of availability and a booking form for you to complete.

Payment?

We do not hold products so your booking is not secure until we have received the completed and signed booking form and a deposit. For bookings including delivery, final payment is required one week prior to your event date and for DIY bookings, final payment is required upon collection. Payment can be made electronically via EFT. We do not accept credit card.

Hire Options?

We offer three hire options;

DIY (minimum hire $50)

Client to pick up and return Mai Tai Designz hired products from our premises in South Lake, by appointment only (option not available for all products)

Delivery (from $80)

Delivery and collection of Mai Tai Designz  hired products based on set down and collection within close proximity to the vehicle.

Delivery & Placement (from $140)

Delivery, styled placement and collection of Mai Tai Designz hired products. We will request placement instructions or arrange to meet with you (or your stylist) to ensure furniture and décor pieces are perfectly styled

Hire Period?

The hire period for client-collected DIY products is for 3 – 4 days. The hire period may be less for bookings in which we have arranged delivery.

Cleaning?

All hire items are to be returned clean, dry and in the same condition as they were received. If cleaning is required, at our discretion a fee will be deducted from your bond.

All glassware must be hand washed in warm soapy water. Due to the age of many items, hand washing helps to prolong the life and patterns, ensuring that other clients may enjoy their beauty into the future.

Linen must be washed and folded, and bunting is to be folded neatly, as received.

Damage / Loss?

In the unlikely event that breakage, damage or loss occurs, the replacement cost will be deducted from your bond and we will refund the balance. If the replacement value is higher than the bond received, the hirer must pay the balance, as determined by Mai Tai Designz. This is a condition of hire and acknowledged with a signed booking form.
